About Masterpiece Art
Masterpiece Art is a fun & engaging program designed to introduce significant works of art to our children and instill an appreciation for fine art while getting their hands a little dirty! This program is administered and presented by parent volunteers, in cooperation with our teachers. Each 45 minute lesson consists of a short art history lesson followed by an art project inspired by the great works of the masters. All project materials are provided, as well as a slide presentation. No art experience is necessary. It is a great way to spend time with your child in their classroom and have the opportunity to teach a lesson or do an art project with them.
